Ham Radio Exam

Ham Radio Exams

Vallarta VEC VE group

Date: Typically last Sunday of the month. Could be moved due to Club

activities

Time:Starts at 0900 with no time limit to finish the exam

All elements (2, 3, and 4). Preregistration not required.

Location: Vallarta Yacht Club, Paradise Village, Nayarit

ID – Bring a legal photo ID (drivers license, passport)

COPY of license (if already a Ham) - If applicable, bring the original

and a photocopy of your current Amateur license and any Certificates

of Successful Completion of Examination (CSCE) you may hold from

previous exam sessions that haven’t shown up on your license. The

photocopy’s WON’T be returned.

SSN or FRN – Know your Social Security Number (SSN) or your FCC

Federal Registration Number (FRN). VEC’s are required by the FCC to

submit either your SSN or FRN with your license application form. For

instructions on how to register your SSN with the FCC and receive a

FRN, visit http://wireless.fcc.gov/uls/index.htm?job=home and click on

register.

$15US or $300P

Pencils, Pens, and a calculator – A calculator with the memory erased

and formulas cleared is allowed. You may not bring any written notes

calculations into the exam.

Mothers Day Brunch

Mothers Day for VYC Calendar

Although Mothers Day falls on Wednesday, May 10 in Mexico, we will celebrate this special day with a special brunch on Saturday the 13th, the day before Sunday, May 14 -- when it is celebrated in the US and Canada. Come and join other mothers, grandmothers, sons and daughters, and other friends and families who appreciate the importance of recognizing, acknowledging, and appreciating the role that mothers have played over the ages. Rudy and the VYC kitchen are planning a brunch that will make this occasion come alive!

The $300 pesos cost will include a mimosa or bloody Mary.
