Volunteers are the Lifeblood of Our Club
As a volunteer-run yacht club, we rely on our members to get involved and contribute their various talents and energy. Your involvement is the heart of everything we do, and together, we make amazing things happen! At VYC, we have many opportunities to get involved, both on the water and ashore. From regattas and cruise outs to fundraising events and community outreach, there’s a way for everyone to come together and contribute.
The Annual Chili Cook-Off is a beloved VYC tradition, going strong for 24 years and all for a great cause! This charity event is always a blast, but it takes a team to make it happen. We need chili cooks ready to bring the heat, ticket sellers for tastings and drinks, judges to crown the chili champ, and helpers to keep the dessert tables running smoothly. It’s a fun way to get involved, meet new people, and be part of one of VYC’s favorite events of the year!

WesMex regatta has been the largest small boat sailing event in Mexico for over 10 years. The event needs a number of different volunteers, including registration, ramp management, safety, on-the-water support, scoring, and many others.
