VYC kicks off the 2019 racing seaon with the Vallarta Cup series. Held every Saturday in January, Vallarta Cup features racing classes for mono and multihulls from 16 to 60 feet. We race under the VYC Handicapping System, which provides offsets for cruising boats. There's never been a better time to get started with racing in Banderas Bay than with Vallarta Cup!
After every race, enjoy a party at the VYC clubhouse with live music, happy hour drinks and a special Vallarta Cup menu.

Also, hear Commodore Green's experience of a nighttime man overboard during a passage off the coast of California. Let's go cruising! This is a great opportunity to stretch your cruising legs and do a fun passage to one of the most picturesque places on the Central Mexican Coast. Join other adventurers along the way and at anchor in this popular cruising destination. Parties, dinners, games, and dinghy races will punctuate the kicked-back days in this tropical paradise. Arrangements are even being made for those who prefer to join the fun at the destination without getting there by boat! There are usually all-inclusive rooms available at the nearby Blue Bay Resort. They can be booked on Expedia.
This year we'll be joining the second annual cruise-in party in Barra de Navidad - a week of parties, a boat parade, and general merriment for the cruising community. Special rates will be available at the Grand Isle Marina.
