Vallarta Yacht Club maintains a fleet of small sailboats, Pangas, and RIBs for use by members and the Junior Sailing program. Sailors must demonstrate competency and comply with safety requirements to use the boats. Additional services such as lessons, captains, fishing guides, or photography can be arranged.

GENERAL RULES

  • Members may use the club boats during daylight hours, 7 days a week.
  • Advanced reservation of power boats is required.
  • Messaging the “Dinghy Sailors VYC” chat to reserve sailboats is sufficient.
  • Sailboats must be rinsed off and put back how they were found, or better, after each sail.
  • Powerboats should be cleated securely with outboards raised and trash disposed of when returned.
  • Report any problems are damage when the boat is returned. You are responsible for damage.
  • Members may bring non-member guests, but are responsible for everyone on board.
  • Power boat users pay for actual fuel usage, typically 300-1000MXN for a full day.
  • For powerboats, the boat mechanic will meet you at the club, load safety equipment, and handle refueling and light cleaning upon your return. Please tidy up. A 200 peso tip is recommended.
